Love the comment about the dog blanket – I was about to throw in the towel after doing your FMQ lessons, but I’ll persevere and turn it into something great or useful.
Watch this space!
Please don’t give up Sue! Just keep on practicing and practicing. Freemotion doesn’t just happen in your first hour. It takes time and for some people it might be a 1000 hours, others 25 hours. It’s different for everyone. Just keep at it!
I love love love this course! I can’t wait until release day. your voice and teaching style is awesome. This is my second course and I can’t wait to take more. I will certainly do this again next year. I love feathers too so this years will be great. It does take time and practice for sure’ but I love it. Wish I was on Facebook but I am afraid my husband would only see the top of my head looking at my screen all day and night!
I’m so happy that you love my course, Marryanne!I look forward to seeing your quilt.
I have over 1000, over 15 years but I still hit walls where I feel like I just can’t get it right. We all fall into the boxes we are comfortable in and Telene has pushed me out of my box. I am following, fairly close, to the class design because I want to learn. I asked myself, “Why am I putting this much time in something that isn’t perfect?” Because I want to learn and practice things I am not comfortable with. Contrasting double thread with metallic, turning of the stitch regulator, and following designs outside of my box. And it looks a lot better than I thought it would. Telene, thank you.
It’s so easy to stay in our comfort zone but it can be a dangerous place to be because we become stagnant. The fear of thinking “there is nothing more for me to learn” becomes a very real one and then we might as well die. You are creating magic and your quilt is going to look incredible. Something you can be very proud of. xxx
