Welcome to Lady Jane Quilting!

"You are here because you love quilting and so do I!" - Telene Jeffrey

Telene’s mother taught her to sew when she was young and her obsession for quilting stems from her passion for sewing. She completed a B-Tech in Interior Architecture and during her studies, she became involved in her parents’ Bernina dealership where she taught a variety of basic sewing lessons. During her time in the corporate world, she started quilting.

In January 2011 she began teaching basic quilting classes which developed into quilting for clients, specializing in custom free motion quilting. She also taught at IQCA 2012, Machine Quilters Boot Camp from 2015 onwards and other quilt groups in her area as well as nationally.

She is an SAQG Accredited Quilt Teacher after successfully completing the Teachers Accreditation Course in 2014. In October of that year, she opened a quilting shop, Lady Jane Quilting, from where she taught quilt related workshops on a weekly basis.

Telene has won numerous prizes for her quilts and attained Master Quilter Status from the SAQG.

BERNINA RSA appointed her as their BERNINA Long-Arm Quilt Ambassador 2016 - 2018. She subsequently taught at  the 19th South African National Quilt Festival, Port Elizabeth, 2017, in the Bernina Classroom.

She made her international teaching debut in November 2017 when she shared her passion in a series of classes at a quilt shop in Texas, USA.

Free motion quilting is Telene’s absolute passion, and she is a firm believer that everybody can quilt. Her goal is to inspire students to simply try, as she knows they will never look back! She is a very enthusiastic traveling teacher and looks forward to teaching at your event.
